Easy Thanksgiving recipes - Stuffing


2 ¼ cups chicken stock
¼ cup of wild rice
4 tbsp of butter
1 cup of fresh sliced mushrooms
1 cup of diced celery
1 cup of chopped onion
4 cups of corn bread stuffing mix
1 tbsp of poultry seasoning


You will need a medium sized saucepan where you will combine the chicken stock and the wild rice. Bring the ingredients to a roiling boil before you reduce the heat to let it simmer. Leave it there until the rice is tender to the touch. While you are waiting, melt the butter in a large skillet. Once it is melted, add the mushrooms, celery, and onion, cooking them on medium-low until they are soft. Next you will need to mix the corn bread stuffing and the poultry seasoning thoroughly before mixing in the vegetable and rice mixtures. It is best to use this stuffing inside the turkey or you can bake it in the oven based on the stuffing mix cooking requirements.
